What Should I Expect on the First Visit?

The first appointment is an assessment.  After completing paperwork regarding privacy, patient rights, informed consent, insurance and practice policies, we will discuss your physical health, mental health, social and developmental history.  Additionally, during the first session we will discuss your goals, diagnosis, recommended treatment modalities, and either treatment plan or referral resources.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

We understand that life sometimes gets in the way of scheduling. Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.

if applicable, you will be charged a $100.00 fee if you no-show or cancel less than 24 hours in advance.

If you are sick, especially if you have a fever, please call to reschedule.

Can I be reminded of my appointment?

If you give consent we will email or text you a reminder.

Traveling to a therapist is difficult for me. Do you offer phone or video therapy?

We know that sometimes physical visits are difficult to make. Secure, HIPAA-Compliant Telehealth is an option but may not be covered by your insurance company. Audio / Video therapy is available on a private pay basis or with prior approval from your insurance provider.

If you would like to explore telehealth as an option we will ask that you download a free software before your first visit.
